The Parish Council are required under The Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations to make available any recorded information held by a public authority.
You can ask for any information you think a public authority may hold. This right only covers recorded information, which includes information held on computers and in printed or handwritten documents as well as images, videos and audio recordings.
You should identify the information you want clearly as possible. Your request can be in the form of a question, rather than a request for specific documents, but the authority does not have to answer your question if this would mean creating new information of giving an opinion or judgement that is not recorded.
Some information may not be given to you because it is exempt, for example reveal personal details about somebody else.

This sets out a comprehensive list of information and how it can be obtained. Some of the information is available on the Council website and the village noticeboards free of charge. Some information is only available by contacting the Parish Clerk, there is a fee associated with the hard copies of information , and this is shown on the “Schedule of Charges” contained within the above document.
